Rap to PM: Balen Shah's Meteoric Political Rise in Nepal

In a historic political upheaval, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), under the leadership of Balendra Shah, has made a sweeping victory in Nepal's general elections. The rapper-turned-politician, popularly known as 'Balen,' led his party to win 117 of the 165 directly elected seats, according to official figures from the Election Commission. This decisive win signals a shift in the political landscape of the Himalayan nation, ousting established parties from power.

Shah's triumph was particularly evident in the Kathmandu Valley, where the RSP secured a clean sweep across 15 constituencies.
