Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resign following the latest hike in domestic LPG cylinder refill prices. Siddaramaiah claimed the increase resulted from the Union government's flawed foreign policy decisions.

In a social media post, Siddaramaiah criticized the price hike as a significant burden on millions of Indian households already dealing with rising inflation. He accused the Prime Minister of compromising India's strategic autonomy by aligning carelessly with the United States, thus affecting relationships with countries like Russia and Iran.

Referring to India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, Siddaramaiah emphasized the connection between economic and foreign policy. He highlighted concerns raised by a former Army Chief's unpublished book and therefore insisted that PM Modi should take responsibility and offer an explanation to the nation for these economic outcomes.
