Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Indo-US Data Deal

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed concerns over an Indo-US data deal that allegedly handed over India's valuable data to the United States. He emphasized that proper negotiations could have led to significant economic benefits for India, such as reduced taxes on agriculture and small businesses.

Speaking to the Information Technology Fraternity at Technopark, Gandhi criticized the lack of political discussion regarding the nation's data, which he described as one of India's most valuable assets. He argued that recognizing the data's worth could unlock unprecedented leverage in international negotiations.

Gandhi also underlined the importance of a national dialogue involving Indian businesses, citizens, multinationals, and the US to address how data is managed and utilized, stating it could be the most potent conversation for India moving forward.
