Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav emphasized the party's dedication to social justice through its focus on Backward Classes, Dalits, and Minorities, during a press briefing on Saturday. He stated that this ideological focus would help maintain social equity.
Yadav criticized the BJP and commented on the political maneuvers involving Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's decision to file his nomination for the 2026 Rajya Sabha elections. Yadav expressed his desire for Kumar to retire as Prime Minister rather than as a Rajya Sabha member.
In an earlier appeal, Yadav urged 'PDA Guardians' to prevent vote division and emphasized the necessity of safeguarding electoral participation to protect constitutional rights. He warned voters to be attentive to the integrity of voter lists and to regard their Voter ID as vital to securing their rights.
