Gaurav Gogoi, the party's chief ministerial candidate and state president, aims to capture the Jorhat assembly seat, currently held by the BJP. Additionally, Debabrata Saikia, the state assembly opposition leader, seeks re-election from Nazira, maintaining a family tradition.
