Muhammad Yunus Bids Adieu as Bangladesh Prepares for New Leadership

Muhammad Yunus, the outgoing Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government, delivered a farewell message to officials and staff on Monday, one day before the new cabinet's official induction. A photo session with the office's personnel marked his departure, as reported by the state-run Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha.

In recognition of the military's assistance during the general election, Yunus received a visit from Bangladesh's Chief of Army Staff, Gen Waker-Uz-Zaman. The Army chief extended his gratitude for the seamless collaboration between the armed forces and the interim administration.

As Yunus's tenure concludes with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) taking over, led by Tarique Rahman, significant electoral victories are highlighted. However, concerns over rising attacks on minorities during Yunus's leadership and strained relations with New Delhi remain pressing issues.
