Empowering Goddesses: Madhya Pradesh's Push for Women's Welfare

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday referred to women as goddesses, reaffirming his government's commitment to their welfare under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He criticized the Congress party for disrespecting women, labeling its members as 'naalaayak' (worthless) during a gathering in Khandwa district.

Speaking at the event marking the release of the 33rd installment of the Ladli Behna scheme, Yadav announced financial assistance of Rs 1,500 for women ahead of Maha Shivratri, emphasizing the state's readiness to economically empower women. He noted the transfer of Rs 1,836 crore to over 1.25 crore beneficiaries, recounting the scheme's disbursement of Rs 52,304 crore so far.

The chief minister urged women to remain united, leveraging their voting power in a democracy. He criticized Congress for its disparaging remarks about women benefiting from the Ladli Behna scheme and praised mothers and sisters for their sacrifices for their families.
