In a significant display of international dissent, approximately 200,000 people protested against Iran's government in Munich on Saturday, responding to a call from exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. The event unfolded on the sidelines of a gathering of world leaders, demanding increased global pressure on Tehran.
The demonstrators, wielding drums and chanting slogans for regime change, crowded the streets in what Pahlavi termed a 'global day of action' to bolster support for Iranians following recent violent protests in Iran. The protestors carried flags and banners reminiscent of pre-Revolution Iran, with many expressing allegiance to Pahlavi.
Reza Pahlavi, addressing a news conference, urged democracies to act decisively, warning that passive observation could lead to further fatalities. This rally mirrored others in Los Angeles and Toronto, seeking to amplify Iranian voices silenced by an internet blackout. The Human Rights Activists News Agency reported significant casualties in the ongoing unrest.
