In a fiery critique, the Himachal BJP president lambasted the ruling Congress-led government on Saturday for its alleged financial mismanagement, despite receiving significant sums from the Centre. He accused the government of deflecting responsibility for the state's ongoing financial woes by blaming central authorities.
Speaking at a press conference, the BJP chief contended that the root of the problem lay in the state's administrative failures and inefficient use of funds. He also criticized the recent all-party meeting for lacking sincerity due to the absence of pivotal leaders, casting doubt on the government's intent to address the financial crisis collaboratively.
Despite central support, which included increased shares in central taxes and substantial grants, the state's financial state remains dire. Financial data reveals a revenue-expenditure gap of about Rs 6,000 crore, putting essential services at risk and burdening citizens with increased taxes and tariffs.
