In a momentous step towards resolving a protracted conflict, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, alongside Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, marked the signing of a pivotal agreement involving the Union Government, Nagaland Government, and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples' Organisation (ENPO) on Thursday. Shah, donning traditional Naga attire, expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts that have bridged divisions over years, promising imminent peace and development in Eastern Nagaland.

Speaking at the event, the Home Minister highlighted the committed efforts of ministry officials to resolve tensions between the Nagaland Government and ENPO. He commended Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and others for advancing the negotiation to a definitive conclusion, assuring that the central government would prioritize development across Eastern Nagaland.

Earlier, Shah inaugurated the 'Bharat Taxi' App, a first-of-its-kind cooperative venture in India's ride-hailing sector. Addressing an audience of around 800,000 driver representatives and various cooperative entities, Shah emphasized the initiative's potential to empower taxi drivers, touting its zero-commission, surge-free price model as a sustainable alternative to foreign-dominated services.
