The BJP government in Delhi, headed by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, is gearing up to showcase its accomplishments and introduce new welfare projects as it celebrates its first year in power. The one-year mark is set for February 20, aligning with Gupta's initial oath-taking at Ramlila Maidan following a significant electoral victory over the AAP.
According to officials, a significant public event is planned around February 20, where the government will highlight its achievements over the past year. This includes the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat health scheme and the fulfillment of several electoral promises like the Ayushman Arogya Mandir health clinics and free health coverage for the elderly.
In a recent announcement, Chief Minister Gupta said that financial assistance would be provided to families holding ration cards, linking the benefits to the costs of two LPG cylinders per year during Holi and Diwali. This decision would see funds transferred directly to beneficiaries through a direct benefit transfer system.
