In a significant political movement, Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Manipur's newly inducted Chief Minister, expressed his desire to validate the trust granted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Shortly after swearing in, Singh highlighted his commitment to fostering harmony across the state's 36 communities, emphasizing inclusivity as a governmental priority.

Engaging with reporters at Lok Bhavan, Singh articulated a vision of universal cooperation to establish a peaceful environment in Manipur. He acknowledged the enduring governance by local communities and described inclusiveness as the 'new mantra' of the administration. Deputy Chief Minister L Dikho echoed these sentiments, outlining plans to engage with the populace and address their aspirations.

Addressing security concerns, Dikho implied that action against armed groups issuing threats to Kuki legislators remains a possibility. The oath-taking ceremony, which included diverse leaders such as BJP MLA Nemcha Kipgen and Naga People's Front's L Dikho as deputy chief ministers, along with other ministers, occurred soon after revoking the President's rule in Manipur.
