Vendetta Politics: BJP Targets TMC Over Blocked Welfare Schemes

In a fierce exchange in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, BJP member Samik Bhattacharya accused the TMC-led West Bengal government of obstructing Central social welfare schemes, citing 'vendetta politics' as the cause.
Speaking during Zero Hour, Bhattacharya highlighted that schemes like Ayushman Bharat and the Smart City Mission are not being implemented, impacting the state's marginalized communities. He further alleged that 43 railway projects are stalled due to political rivalry.
The BJP MP emphasized that these actions compromise the federal structure and deprive farmers, minorities, and Adivasis of crucial benefits, while TMC members vociferously objected in the House.
