Members of the BJP's youth organization staged a protest at the Kerala Assembly on Tuesday, alleging the Congress and CPI(M) were involved in the Sabarimala gold misappropriation scandal.
Police intervened to halt the march organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha by erecting barricades near the Assembly complex, leading to rising tensions.
Protesters who attempted to breach the barricades were met with water cannons. The activists, undeterred, continued their demonstration, resulting in the use of tear gas and a blockade of traffic after the confrontation left several injured.
