The Kerala Assembly was gripped by turmoil as protests erupted over the controversial Sabarimala gold loss issue. The proceedings were interrupted multiple times, with the opposition alleging government interference in the ongoing investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
During the session, Congress MLA Anwar Sadath attempted to climb onto the Speaker's dais, leading to a 30-minute adjournment. The opposition boycotted the assembly, claiming probe delays and accusing the ruling party of shielding the accused.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticized the opposition's conduct as 'unfortunate,' while the Speaker urged introspection on actions undermining democratic processes. Despite the opposition walkout, house proceedings continued in their absence.
