Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena (UBT) member of the Rajya Sabha, has called for an independent judicial investigation into the tragic death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. He made this demand during a motion of thanks on the President's address in the Upper House on Monday.
According to Raut, Pawar, previously tainted by an alleged Rs 70,000 crore irrigation scam, had his name cleared when he allied with the BJP. Just days after implicating the BJP in the scam, Pawar died in a horrific air crash, prompting Raut to question the circumstances surrounding his death.
Raut emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the incident, stating that Pawar was a prominent leader in Maharashtra whose untimely demise remains a shock. Pawar, along with four others, perished on January 28 in a plane crash near Baramati airport in Pune district.
