National Conference president Farooq Abdullah emphasized the community's importance to Kashmir. He expressed doubts about their permanent return, citing the new lives they've established across the country.
Meanwhile, protests persisted for a separate homeland and recognition of their past suffering. Leaders reaffirm the need for government action to rebuild the bonds within their homeland.
