Tensions escalated in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, when political rivalries turned violent, injuring six individuals, including police personnel. The clash erupted between Konark Vikas Aghadi (KVA) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists following recent municipal elections.
The conflict intensified when KVA workers allegedly attacked the BJP office, prompting police to use lathicharge to control the crowd. Accusations flew between the parties, with BJP MLA Mahesh Chowgule labeling the incident a 'murderous attack,' while KVA's Vilas Patil blamed BJP activists for starting the violence.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police confirmed the injuries and assured that the situation is under control with additional security measures in place. Police are registering a case as investigations continue to prevent further unrest.
