Mumbai police have launched an investigation following allegations made by NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar regarding the fraudulent creation of Aadhaar cards in the name of US President Donald Trump. These fake cards were reportedly used to register bogus voters, Pawar claimed.

During a press conference on October 16, Pawar demonstrated how such fraudulent Aadhaar cards were manufactured and subsequently misused for voter registration. The allegations prompted BJP's social media co-convener Dhananjay Wagaskar to file a police complaint, citing the endangerment of social security and an attempt to incite public discord.

As a result, the cyber police have registered a case against unidentified individuals under charges of forgery and identity theft. The issue has unveiled significant discrepancies in voter registration across Maharashtra, raising concerns over electoral integrity.
