The strife surfaced after a bandh called by the Tripura Citizen Forum, backed by Tipra Motha Party MLA Ranjit Debbarma, resulted in violence and injuries. The bandh highlighted unmet demands under the Tiprasa Accord, fueling divisions.
In response, Patra met with political leaders, including Chief Minister Manik Saha, to strategize, while BJP blamed its ally for exacerbating the turmoil, despite the Tipra Motha Party’s condemnation of the violence.
