JMM Exits Bihar Polls Amid Alliance Confusion

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has announced its withdrawal from the Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar due to ongoing confusion over seat-sharing arrangements. The party, which had initially planned to contest six seats independently, cited the 'political cunning' of the leading party in the alliance as a major factor in the decision.

JMM leader Manoj Pandey pinned the blame on Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for the disarray, leading to the decision not to participate in the upcoming Bihar elections. Pandey expressed disappointment over the failure to secure a proper position within the coalition, suggesting the party's aspirations were undermined.

As the Bihar 2025 elections approach, key contests will unfold between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Mahagathbandhan. The NDA comprises parties such as the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal (United), while the Mahagathbandhan is led by RJD and includes several leftist and regional parties. Election polling is scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results expected on November 14.
