A statue of M G Ramachandran, a revered AIADMK leader and former Chief Minister, became the target of vandalism in Avaniyapuram, prompting outrage from party members.
In response, a significant number of AIADMK supporters gathered to protest and demand the immediate capture of those responsible. Police have mobilized teams to track down the perpetrators, who reportedly committed the act on October 5.
AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami expressed his dismay over the incident. He criticized the vandalism as a cowardly act and called on both the Tamil Nadu government and the police to arrest the involved persons swiftly.
