The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has uncovered significant land-related irregularities, filing 24 FIRs against various individuals, including revenue officials, land grabbers, and beneficiaries, for fraudulent land usurpation.

The ACB's investigation revealed illegal land grabs in areas like Asarwan, Mishriwala, Bhalwal, and R S Pura. Thousands of kanals of custodian land were fraudulently acquired by the land mafia with the support of attorney holders and officials from the custodian and revenue departments.

The probe identified fraudulent use of tampered revenue records to secure fake allotments for displaced PoK persons. Despite existing land allocations to these individuals, unauthorized relatives managed to secure more land through deceitful means. The ACB has initiated an in-depth inquiry into the conspiracy, with further arrests expected.
