Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, led a meeting dedicated to pioneering reforms in the Union Territory's higher education sector on Friday. The session examined various strategic initiatives, notably the 'Design Your Degree' (DYD) program.
Officials discussed integrating information technology and artificial intelligence into curricula and promoting entrepreneurship and skill-based learning. Sinha emphasized the requirement for effective implementation and collaboration between central and UT institutions to forge a world-class education ecosystem.
Advocating for alignment with national and international standards, Sinha urged making Jammu and Kashmir's educational system a model of excellence. The Vice Chairman of J&K Higher Education Council, Prof Dinesh Singh, highlighted the role of education in social service and boosting student productivity.
