India and Africa: A Lasting Partnership for Progress

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar underscored Africa's central role in India’s foreign policy, emphasizing shared principles of equality, mutual respect, and joint advancement.

Speaking at the unveiling of the India-Africa Forum Summit's logo, theme, and website, Jaishankar highlighted cultural exchanges and solidarity during colonial struggles that fortified these links.

The minister noted that the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision aligns with Africa's Agenda 2063, emphasizing sustainable growth, inclusive development, and the importance of Global South voices in governance, exemplified by the African Union's inclusion in the G20.
