The National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced on Wednesday the attachment of several properties linked to a Jaish-e-Mohammad terror operative involved in a 2017 attack on a CRPF camp, which claimed the lives of five paramilitary personnel.

The properties, considered proceeds of terrorism, belong to Fayaz Ahmed Magray, who is on trial for his role in the attack. This significant development followed recent orders from the NIA special court at Jammu and includes multiple land plots and residential properties in Lethpora under the jurisdiction of the Awantipora Police Station in Pulwama district.

The attack on the CRPF camp in Lethpora was executed by three heavily armed terrorists on December 30, 2017. Investigations led the NIA to Fayaz, allegedly an active Over Ground Worker for the JeM. He is accused of facilitating the attack through reconnaissance and arranging weaponry. His associates, Noor Mohammad Tantray and Mudasir Ahmad Khan, are reported to have died in encounters with security forces.
