In a shocking incident in Nilanga tehsil of Latur district, a 25-year-old man has been apprehended by authorities for the alleged rape of a 52-year-old woman. Identified as Pravin Bankat Jadhav, the suspect is accused of committing the crime on Tuesday morning when the victim was alone at her residence.
According to police reports, Jadhav reportedly entered the woman's house, restrained her using her own sari, and carried out the heinous act. Furthermore, the suspect allegedly threatened the victim with dire consequences should she reveal the incident.
The arrest followed the victim's complaint to the Nilanga Police Station. Inspector Sudhir Suryawanshi confirmed that a case has been registered and the suspect is now facing legal proceedings.
