Britain and France have organized a strategic meeting with military planners from over 30 countries to devise a comprehensive plan focused on securing the Strait of Hormuz. The UK Ministry of Defence revealed that the two-day event aimed to convert diplomatic consensus into actionable military strategies.
The mission's purpose is to guarantee the safety of merchant vessels, clear mines, and maintain assurance in the region, contingent on reaching a sustainable ceasefire in the US-Israeli conflict with Iran. France and the UK are committed, offering ships and drones for mine-clearing tasks.
Despite skepticism regarding the feasibility of the plan, British Defence Secretary John Healey remains optimistic about achieving substantial progress over the course of the discussions.
