In a bid to bolster the burgeoning India-US defense relationship, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi is currently on an official visit to the United States. Hosted by India's envoy in Washington, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, the visit follows closely after the US tours of Air Chief Amar Preet Singh and Navy Chief Dinesh Tripathi.

General Dwivedi's visit is aimed at enhancing the already strong military ties between the two nations, focusing particularly on ensuring stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. The Indian embassy emphasized the significance of these high-level exchanges as a cornerstone in the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and the US.

On his itinerary, General Dwivedi is scheduled to meet key US defense officials to discuss pathways for greater cooperation. Earlier in his trip, he was honored with a Guard of Honor at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, and discussed plans for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific with General Ronald P. Clark, highlighting a shared vision between the two global powers.
