The Delhi High Court has dismissed the Unnao rape survivor's appeal that sought the death penalty for ex-BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar over her father's custodial death.
The court cited a significant unexplained delay of 1,945 days in filing the appeal and criticized the appellant for excessive inaction and negligence.
Sengar and his accomplices were previously found guilty of culpable homicide and sentenced to ten years, with charges related to police brutality in the 2018 custodial death case.
