In a startling case of alleged deception, a man has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district for reportedly using a forged document. The document falsely represented him as having the authorization of a central government organization, officials reported on Monday.
The accused, Mohammad Anas, aged approximately 45, was apprehended from Behat Road. According to Dehat Kotwali SHO Devesh Kumar Sharma, charges were filed following a complaint by Sub-Inspector Narendra Bhadana, alleging the misuse of a fake letter to obtain police escort.
Anas allegedly manipulated the name of a government-linked body, misleading officials to secure police support for an event. While the motive remains unclear, authorities are delving deeper into the incident as further legal proceedings continue.
