Two dead in head-on collision between tractor and motorcycle in UP's Hamirpur

Two people died in a head-on collision between a speeding tractor and a motorcycle in Uttar Pradeshs Hamirpur district, police said on Monday. Around 10 pm, near Amgaon, a speeding tractor approaching from the opposite direction collided with their motorcycle. Rath police station SHO Anoop Singh said that the tractor driver was detained immediately following the accident.

Two people died in a head-on collision between a speeding tractor and a motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur district, police said on Monday. According to the police, Harishchandra Mishra (55), a resident of Kheda Shilajit village under the Jariya police station area, was going to a wedding ceremony, accompanied by his friend and fellow villager Man Bahadur Dwivedi (55). Around 10 pm, near Amgaon, a speeding tractor approaching from the opposite direction collided with their motorcycle. Rath police station SHO Anoop Singh said that the tractor driver was detained immediately following the accident. The tractor has been seized and brought to the police station, while both bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination. The families of the deceased have been informed, he added.
