Delhi Police have successfully dismantled two illegal LPG hoarding networks, seizing a total of 125 gas cylinders and arresting three individuals involved in the operations, a spokesperson revealed on Sunday.
In one of the busts, police recovered 57 cylinders, including 50 filled ones, from Rohini's Rama Vihar and arrested a man identified as Lokpal. Meanwhile, in Sangam Vihar, 68 cylinders were confiscated, leading to the arrest of two individuals, Deepak and Shyam.
The arrested parties, all authorized LPG delivery personnel, were reportedly diverting completed deliveries, creating artificial shortages, and selling the refilled cylinders at inflated prices. Further investigations aim to uncover the full extent of the supply chain involved in these illegal activities.
