Indonesia is currently evaluating a United States proposal seeking access to its airspace for overflights, as confirmed by the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
The proposal was brought to light following the recent announcement of the Major Defence Cooperation Partnership between the countries, made by US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon.
Both countries are in the process of carefully reviewing the proposal, emphasizing its non-binding nature and the need for further discussions in alignment with Indonesia's national interests and airspace sovereignty.
