Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has alleged that Pakistan is orchestrating drug smuggling into Jammu and Kashmir to fund terrorism and harm the region's youth. Speaking at a public event in Ramban, he stressed the need for a coordinated effort to tackle this social threat.

The lieutenant governor pledged to identify and dismantle every drug smuggling hotspot. He encouraged a 'whole of government' and 'whole of society' approach, likening the intended crackdown to a 'surgical strike' against the drug networks.

Leading a symbolic 'padyatra,' Sinha called for collective action from all societal sectors, highlighting the critical roles of women's vigilance committees and community unity. He emphasized the need for society to view addiction not as a crime but as a challenge requiring collective support and intervention.
