A manager of a bar in Delhi has been charged with hosting unauthorized dance performances and possessing ecstasy (MDMA), an official announced Wednesday. The allegations arose after a police raid on the Paharganj establishment uncovered the violations.
A statement issued by Delhi Police's Special Staff confirmed the establishment was operating without the necessary licenses for the activities conducted, including dance performances. In addition to the charges, small amounts of MDMA were seized from two individuals at the location.
Authorities filed a case against the manager, identified as 42-year-old Tasleem, and others, citing several breaches of legal codes. The Municipal Corporation has been notified to address the violations regarding license conditions for the bar.
