Excise Department Cracks Down on Illicit Liquor Den in Delhi

The excise department took decisive action on Saturday, targeting an operation of illicit liquor in northwestern Delhi. Authorities seized a container filled with unauthorized alcohol in Samaypur Badli's Transport Nagar, unearthing 187 cartons valued over Rs 5 lakh.
According to a senior officer, the team acted on intelligence inputs, finding the container stacked with liquor illegally imported into the city. With reports suggesting smugglers are using innovative storage methods, the department is increasing its scrutiny.
Efforts continue to capture the owner of the container and his network of collaborators, as numerous raids have been initiated. An FIR has been filed regarding this matter at the Samaypur Badli police station.
