Trinamool Congress MP Kirti Azad has leveled serious allegations of voter enrolment irregularities, claiming that the names of individuals from Bihar are improperly added to electoral rolls in other states. Azad argues this contravenes election rules and has called for action from authorities.
Speaking at a press conference, Azad underscored that despite raising this issue in February last year, no substantial measures have been taken to address the concerns. He suggested that leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party are involved, backed by visual evidence, albeit without independent verification.
Azad criticized the Election Commission's potential consideration of 30,000 Form 6 applications, considering it improper. He highlighted the involvement of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in raising the matter to the Election Commission, while questioning BJP's electoral strategies and outcomes.
