French Peacekeepers Face Threat in Lebanon
French peacekeepers in Lebanon experienced 'unacceptable intimidation', triggering calls from France for United Nations actions. Indonesia requested an investigation into the deaths of three of its UNIFIL peacekeepers following Israeli military actions. Three incidents involving French forces and Israel occurred on March 28.

French peacekeeping troops stationed in Lebanon have been subjected to 'absolutely unacceptable intimidation,' according to France's junior army minister, Alice Rufo.
Speaking at the War & Peace conference in Paris, Rufo expressed solidarity with Indonesian peacekeepers after three of them were killed following Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon. Indonesia has since called on the United Nations to investigate these deaths.
Diplomatic sources revealed that three incidents took place on March 28 between French forces and the Israeli military, further heightening tensions in the region.
