A shocking incident occurred in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district as a police constable lost his life due to an accidental discharge of his service rifle.
The constable, identified as Ajay Kishore Khakha, 42, was stationed at the CRPF camp in Palisai. He hailed from Raidih in Gumla district.
Authorities reported that the rifle went off while Khakha was cleaning it on Sunday evening. His body has been sent for post-mortem at Chaibasa Sadar Hospital as investigations continue to ascertain whether it was accidental firing or another cause.
