Tensions Escalate: Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Beirut
The Israeli military launched strikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut, following an evacuation warning issued for several neighborhoods. No casualties have been reported yet, but the conflict has intensified, resulting in significant casualties and displacement across Lebanon as part of the broader U.S.-Israeli confrontation with Iran.
The Israeli military announced that it conducted strikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut early Saturday. Before the attack, an evacuation warning was issued for seven neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital.
This escalation is part of Israel's increased airstrikes against Lebanon during the ongoing conflict with Iran-backed Hezbollah, now in its third week.
As the deadliest spillover of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, the Hezbollah-Israeli conflict has led to more than 1,000 casualties in Lebanon and displaced over a million residents.
