A 22-year-old undergraduate student, Surya Pratap Singh, was tragically shot dead on the Uday Pratap College campus in Varanasi on Friday afternoon.

The police revealed that the shooting stemmed from a personal dispute with another student, identified as Manjeet Singh Chauhan, who is now on the run.

Varanasi Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal announced that investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and have launched a six-team manhunt to apprehend the suspect. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek further information.
