Amid growing concerns over LPG cylinder availability, the Itanagar Capital Region administration has rolled out a new helpline aimed at curbing hoarding and black marketing practices. This move comes as global supply chain issues fuel panic buying among residents.
Deputy Commissioner Toko Babu emphasized that the helpline, available at 9862024299, and an official email for complaints, would assure residents that infringements are being addressed. All reports will remain anonymous to protect the whistleblowers' identities.
In response to instances of excess booking and potential artificial shortages, the administration had previously alerted consumers on March 18th. Authorities confirmed that stringent actions will target those engaging in illegal practices, assuring the community of fair access to essential resources.
