High-Profile Farmhouse Drug Bust: Politicians Under Investigation

The Telangana Director General of Police, B Shivadhar Reddy, has taken decisive action by forming a nine-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to thoroughly investigate a serious drug-related incident. This case involves a significant drug bust at a farmhouse in Moinabad, where a TDP MP and a former BRS MLA have been implicated.
The individuals in question, including TDP MP Putta Mahesh Kumar and former BRS MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy, were found to have tested positive for drug consumption following a raid conducted on the night of March 14. The raid led to the registration of a case under multiple acts, including the NDPS and Arms Acts.
The SIT, spearheaded by City Commissioner G Sudheer Babu, combines the expertise of top officials and law enforcement units to expedite the investigation. The operation revealed that drugs and a substantial amount of liquor were present, and a Delhi-based businessman allegedly fired upon the police during the raid. The case continues to evolve as authorities work diligently to uncover the full extent of the illicit activities.
