Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain, the governor-designate for Bihar, landed in Patna on Thursday, two days before his official oath-taking ceremony. The retired general was warmly welcomed by Bihar ministers Dilip Jaiswal and Sunil Kumar on behalf of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The Chief Minister had assigned the two ministers to extend the official welcome. Other dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar, and Legislative Council Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh, also greeted Hasnain at the airport.

The incoming governor, renowned for his distinguished military career and discipline, is expected to bring new energy to Bihar’s administrative and social landscape. Leaders are hopeful that Hasnain's guidance will steer the state towards good governance, development, and public welfare.
