FBI Raises Reward to $1M for Indian National in 2015 Murder Case

The FBI has escalated its reward to $1 million for any information leading to the capture of Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel. Patel, an Indian national, is accused of killing his wife, Palak Patel, at a Maryland donut shop in 2015. Originally offering $250,000, the agency's enhanced bounty underscores the gravity of the crime.

Authorities charged Patel with first-degree murder among other serious offenses, placing him on the FBI's 'Ten Most Wanted Fugitives' list since April 2017. The enhanced reward intends to amplify attention towards apprehending Patel and achieving justice for his slain wife.

The couple, both working overnight at a donut shop owned by Patel's relative, reportedly argued due to visa issues. Patel allegedly fled to avoid prosecution. His exact whereabouts remain unknown, raising speculation he might be hiding with relatives in the U.S. or possibly escaped to Canada or India.
