In a strategic move to bolster crime control across Uttar Pradesh, Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna has instructed officers to focus on preventive policing and swift investigation processes. This directive, discussed during a high-level video conference meeting, is aimed at quelling disputes and crimes before they escalate.

Statistics presented at the meeting indicate a marked decline in public complaints and road accidents in the state. Districts such as Sambhal, Firozabad, and Etawah have seen a dramatic decrease in grievances thanks to these proactive measures. The 'Zero Fatality District' campaign also shows promise, with significant drops in accident rates in Shravasti, Ghaziabad rural zone, and Jalaun.

Krishna emphasized the importance of integrating digital tools like the 'Yaksh' mobile app for more efficient policing and tracking drug-related crimes. Officers are also urged to use scientific and digital evidence in investigations to maintain professionalism. This approach, authorities believe, signifies an era of good governance and effective crime management.
