Rijiju Defends Om Birla Against No-Confidence Motion

In a fiery parliamentary session, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju took a defiant stand against the no-confidence motion brought by the Congress against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Rijiju fervently defended the Speaker's neutrality in legislative proceedings while accusing the Congress of deteriorating democratic principles since 2014.

Rijiju cited Birla's fair-handedness, providing ample opportunities for opposition dialogues, evidence of which he supported with statistical data. The motion, according to Rijiju, was a politically motivated maneuver targeting constitutional institutions, akin to an attack on democracy.

Beyond defending Birla, Rijiju criticized Rahul Gandhi's perceived immaturity, suggesting his sibling, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, might make a more effective opposition leader.
