In a tragic turn of events, the body of Sepoy Akshit Sharma, a soldier who disappeared during a river-crossing exercise, was recovered from the Manawar River in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district.
The disappearance occurred at noon on Monday, during a training exercise around Sundarbani, triggering widespread search operations.
Efforts by the Army, the National Disaster Response Force, and local rescuers culminated in the recovery of Sharma's body on Tuesday morning, confirming the unfortunate incident.
