The suspect, who ran a meat shop in the Rongyek area, had 311.62 grams of brown sugar hidden in his rented room, according to officials involved in the operation. This highlights ongoing concerns about drug trafficking in the region.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Authorities are now investigating the source of the narcotics and whether the suspect is part of a larger network engaged in drug trafficking.
